Technology choices come and go. Sound engineering practices, maintainable
architectures and capable
teams
remain valuable for years.
I work alongside engineering teams to solve real-world problems, transfer
knowledge and build solutions
that
remain maintainable long after the engagement ends.
My goal is to help teams build the expertise and
confidence to move forward on their own.
Help your team build expertise and confidence in modern embedded development.
Technical guidance for architecture decisions, technology adoption and complex engineering challenges.
Selective hands-on implementation for prototypes, critical components and challenging engineering tasks.
Most engagements are fully remote, but I also enjoy working directly with teams on-site. I regularly travel throughout Northern and Central Germany and am happy to discuss other locations when it makes sense.
Whether it's Embedded Linux, Rust adoption, system architecture, testing, security or something that doesn't fit neatly into a category, I'd be happy to learn more about your project and your team.
Feel free to reach out and introduce yourself. A first conversation is a great way for us to get to know each other, discuss your situation and see whether we're a good fit and how I can best support your goals.
Build and maintain robust Linux-based devices.
Introduce Rust successfully into embedded teams.
Improve reliability, maintainability and security throughout the product lifecycle.
Not every problem fits neatly into a category. Sometimes the best solution is simply to sit down, look at it together, and move forward pragmatically.
I've relied on open source software throughout my entire career and strongly prefer open technologies whenever practical. Over the years I've built up a growing collection of personal projects, ranging from Rust networking libraries to complete hardware and software systems. These projects allow me to explore new ideas, validate approaches and stay connected to hands-on engineering.
I don't just advise teams on embedded systems. I build and operate them myself.
